This morning we will arrive at 8:25am in Ceske Budejovice, disembark and take a bus ride over to the town of Ceksy Krumlov. The morning is cold and damp. The weather is having a difficult time deciding whether to rain, sleet or snow.
We arrived at Ceksy Krumlov, in South Bohemia, around 9:00am and took a guided walk through the city.

We established a rendezvous location at a local cafe before heading toward the castle, for those wanting to go.

The city has a large castle with a large tower which we had the option to climb or not. Both Gavin and I decided we would do the 162 step climb. I did not have much trouble going up, but coming down I popped something behind my left knee. Very painful. I took some Tylenol when we got back to the train. The view from the top of the tower was good however.

For the next couple of hours, we had “free” time to mosey around the town, exploring its vast array of shops. The plan was to meet at 12:30pm at a coffee house before heading back to the bus. With my new injury, I did not go far. Gavin and I met up at the coffee house about 11:30am and shortly afterwards, it started snowing heavily. This got Gavin’s attention and we went outside and he played in the snow.

We headed back to the train and had lunch with the train departing Ceske Budejovice at 2:25pm. Our on-board musician Gábor Viczián gave a recital while we traveled to our next stop at the Praugue Hlavni Nadrazi railway station. Gavin attended and enjoyed it a great deal. I did not go and instead worked on my blog and nursed my knee.
The train arrived at Prague Hlavní Nádraží Railway Stationat 5:30 pm and we were transferred by two small buses to the city center for an introductory walking tour of the Old Town Square with its many historical buildings.
The walking tour ended at the Municipal House of Prague where we will had dinner in its restaurant.
After dinner, we were entertained in a private concert by a string quartet.
It was a wonderful event. We then made our way back to the Smíchov Railway Station where the train stayed for the night.
Ouch! Hope you nurse the knee. Glad Gavin is enjoying
