Thursday, January 3, 2019: Day 7: Prague

Last night (as well as several times today) it was proclaimed  that our wi-fi issues had been corrected, at least in the Club Car. I spent several hours in the Club Car last night up dating this blog. Unfortunately, tonight, the system is down again. The problem was never corrected. I am writing the last couple of days from memory and I don't like it.

Anyway, this morning we met on the platform at 9:10 am, a relatively late start. We departed from the station by a private historical tram to the Prague Castle. During the ride, we were serenaded by a lady playing the accordion.

We arrived at the Prague Castle and started our tour of the St. Vitus Cathedral.

We then lunched at the 16th century Lobkowicz Palace.

After lunch, we had free time. We walked down from the castle and across the Charles Bridge to the old town. Here, we witnessed the 3:00 pm striking of  the Astronomical Clock.

The plan was for everyone to meet at the Intercontinental Hotel at 5:45 pm to to return to the train to Prague Hlavni Nadrazi station. Gavin wanted to find the Prague Hard Rock Cafe to get more tee shirts. He asked the guide who told him it was just around the corner. We went there and got more tee shirts for Gavin's family. We then walked over to the hotel. Most of the group was already there and we sat around drinking hot chocolate (Irish coffee in my case) until time to depart. It was just too cold outside to roam around.

We then headed back to the Prague station to head out.
