I had mentioned to Maxine that we had not gotten any details on the trip other than the general information in the trip offering brochure. When she called, Maxine said the company (MIR) had mailed some details to her on Monday and she would scan it and send it to me. Further information would be sent about three weeks prior to the beginning of the tour (early December).
The tour begins and ends in Budapest. Maxine was able to tell me that we would be staying in the Four Seasons hotel on the Pest side of the Danube. This is less than a block from the Intercontinental Hotel where we stayed during our river cruise. Great area of the city.
I also authorized Maxine to upgrade us from Economy to Business Class on the flight to Budapest via Istanbul. She said no seats were available for the return flight to IAH. The flight over to Budapest will be an overnight trip and the hardest of the two flights.

Maxine also sent a recent mailing from MIR showing general information and an idea of the dress code for the New Year's gala.
